Dear Chris,
I'm writing to share with you an art class I had in a park last Friday.
Required to paint what impressed us most,I discovered an old banyan tree, its trunk strong, its branches and leaves lush, as if to tell its story. I painted the shapes of the leaves carefully, trying to make them appear lifelike.
Through this class, I not only learned how to observe and depict objects, but also experienced the beauty and power of nature.
Attached to this email is a copy of my painting. Looking forward to your feedback on it. Yours,
Li Hua

Dear Chris,
I had an amazing experience with my art teacher in the park. We drew beautiful landscapes, capturing the essence of nature. My favorite piece is a painting of a serene lake with ducks swimming gracefully. It reminds me of the tranquility and beauty of nature. I feel more connected to the world through this art class.
Best regards,
Li Hua

Dear Chris,
How is everything going? I'm writing this letter to share with you a remarkable experience that occurred in our art class.
Last Friday, our art class took an unusual turn, heading straight to the park for a lesson. Surrounded by nature's wonders, I painted a vivid landscape, focusing on the trees and a serene lake. The experience was not only just about painting but also about connecting with nature and finding inspiration. I must emphasize that this outdoor activity greatly enhanced my learning experience.
I hope you have chances to explore creativity outdoors too.Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Chris,
Yesterday we had an art class in the park, so I’m writing to tell you how interest-ing the class was.
To arouse our interest in Chinese painting, our art teacher gave us a special art class, where we were taught how to draw the scenery in the nature by using brush and ink. What I draw is a lotus in the pond. In my painting, the lotus stands there quietly, listening to the frogs singing, as if it were a gentleman away from the luxurious life.
In the class, not can I learn the skills of Chinese painting, I can also appreciate the beauty of the nature. I hope I’ll have more chances to take outdoor classes.Do you have any interesting classes like this? Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Li Hua

I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September.I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a bus to Prague for a conference.Due to a big storm,my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half.I touched down in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane,I ran like crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter.I told him where I was going, but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station.I thought my pronunciation was the problem,so l explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I was about to give up,Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station.Thankfully, there was a long queue (队列) still waiting to board the bus.Gunter parked the taxi
behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big smile on his face."We made it,"he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet.I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along.A feeling of helplessness washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment,Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There,at the entrance, was a cash machine.I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in,only to read the message:“Out of order.Sorry.”

Para. 1 We two fell into an awkward silence. Suddenly a good idea occurred to me. I made a proposal that I give him back the money four days later when my conference in Prague was over. To my great relief, Gunter nodded his head with agreement. Then we exchanged our telephone number with each other. Before leaving, I expressed my sincere gratitude to him for his assistance and trust and promised to contact him when I was back in Vienna. After waving goodbye, I immediately boarded the bus to Prague at the last moment.
Para.2 I asked him to pick me up at the same station that he dropped me before. As appointed on the phone, Gunter came to pick me up and drove me to the airport. The instant I settled myself in the car, I paid him for the round ticket. Receiving the money, Gunter looked me into my eyes and shook my hand firmly, speaking highly of my honesty. In the meantime, I thanked him again for his trust on me. This unforgettable experience enlightened me that our interpersonal relationship should be based on mutual trust which can help build a more harmonious society.

Para. 1 I stood there rooted to the spot, waiting anxiously for his reaction. He eyed me and forced an embarrassed smile. My face burnt into a flush, at a loss what to do. Before long, a firm and warm voice broke the silence. “Catch your bus first,” he handed me a piece of paper with a written phone number on it, “contact me when you are done”. Then, seeing the taxi driving off, I boarded the bus.
Para.2 He showed up shortly after. Having exchanged greetings, I slid an envelope into his hand, adding “it was the fare I owe you.” The man took it without folding it. Then we enjoyed a brief chat in a cafe, accompanied by relaxed laughers. Later we two parted, promising to keep in touch. It was just a short encounter, but no doubt the warmth and friendship Gunter brought me will last long.

Worrying that I would miss the bus and stay overnight in a strange place,I sighed with anxiety. Seeing my worried face, he urged me to board the bus, telling me to pay him later. Moved to tears,I asked him for his phone number and promised that I would pay him back. We exchanged the contact information before we parted the ways.
I explained the reason why I called and asked for a meeting. A joyful laughter came through the phone and he agreed to meet me in a cafe. Upon arrival,he gave me a tight hug and I handed him the fare. To my surprise,he refused it and smiled gently, saying,“ I didn’t expect you to be such an honest man. Forget about the money. Just reach your hand as I did the next time you meet someone in need.” Deeply touched by his words,I realized how kindness made a difference to the world.
